Welcome to Camp Grizzly, "Pride of the Palouse" and home of the finest Camp Staff you'll ever find! Since 1938 this has been the home to summer adventure for countless Scouts and Leaders.  Excitement is growing in anticipation of the new programs offered at Grizzly this year. Camp Grizzly has a proud tradition of unit service and great programs. Our experienced and energetic Staff is waiting to meet you and make this summer the best ever for your unit.

 

Camp Grizzly is located along the Palouse River, 12 miles east of Potlatch, Idaho (next to Laird State Park). Camp Grizzly appeals to Boy Scouts young and old with its wide variety of programs. Grizzly is a 440 acre camp located 12 miles east of Potlatch, Idaho next to Laird Park. Since becoming a council summer camp in 1938 Grizzly has evolved from a small unimproved camp to the jewel in the Inland Northwest Council's camping crown.

Base Camp Fee is $285 per Scout / $150 per Adult
or as low as $243.75 for Inland Northwest Council Scouts

*Rover Week at Boy Scout Camp-Camp Easton Week 1 & Camp Grizzly Week 5:

Boy Scouts who cannot attend camp with their troop, or who wish to have a second week of camp, may attend camp by themselves as ‘Rovers.’ The camp forms a temporary troop and provides adult leadership for the week. Scouts enjoy all normal camp activities during Rover Week. Adults are not required for Rover Week, as the camp provides leadership. Adults wishing to attend must be approved by the camp director, serve in a leadership capacity in the Rover troop, and pay the adult fee (no free adults granted for Rovers).

How to get to Camp Grizzly: Camp Grizzly is located about 12 miles east of Potlatch, ID just off Hwy 6 next Lair State Park. The best way to get there will depend on where you are coming from. The street address for Camp Grizzly is 1101 Palouse River Rd., Harvard, ID. Plug the address into Mapquest and you will get good directions.

 

What merit badges are offered at Camp Grizzly? Camp Grizzly offers a wide variety of merit badges including; Canoeing, Swimming, Lifesaving, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Fishing, Orienteering and much much more! Camp Grizzly offers more than 30 different merit badges each summer. For a listing of merit badges offered consult the Camp Leaders Guide.

 

Besides merit badges, what is there to do at Camp Grizzly? In addition to a great merit badge program Camp Grizzly offers several activities including; BSA Snorkelling, BSA Mile Swim, BSA Lifeguard, mountain biking, outpost camping, 3-D action archery, black powder rifle shooting, camp-wide games, campfire programs, and more.

 

Mountain Biking Program: The Grizzly Mountain Bike experience is one that older Scouts won't soon forget. Challenging trails around and through Camp will give even the most experienced biker a thrill. Camp Grizzly will provide some bicycles. However, to insure that all Scouts get an opportunity to participate Scouts can bring their own bikes to camp.
