Welcome to the Charter Renewal Process. (Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page for the tutorial and entry into the charter renewal system)

New this year: Commissioners will be scheduling a unit time slot for one on one assistance. A commissioner or professional staff member will be calling the Committee Chair in early November to start filling time slots to review the paperwork, answer any questions and ensure no lapse in youth or adult membership.

 There are four important things to remember when using online charter renewal to avoid having access issues.

• Do Not use MacIntosh Computer Systems
• Use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
• Turn off all Popup Blockers.
• Make the Internet Charter Renewal site a trusted site in your computer by following these steps:

1. Open Internet Explorer. From the main menu, click Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab. On the Security screen, click Trusted Sites.
3. On the Trusted Sites screen, click Sites...
4. In the text box, enter https://scoutnet.scouting.org/ucrs/UI/home/default.aspx. Click Add.
5. Click OK to exit the Sites... screen. Click OK to close Internet Options.

 To renew a charter online:

1. Sixty days before your unit's expiration date, select a renewal processor.
2. The renewal processor receives the booklet with the  training and the unit access code. Each unit has a charter renewal packet. If you have not recieved yet, contact your District Executive or Unit Commissioner.
3. Sixty to 45 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks Recharter Now and begins the process.
4. When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application.
5. The unit leader and the chartered organization representative sign the charter renewal application. Bring the application along with the material you received in your recharter packet (such as the Quality Unit application), and all appropriate fees to your district's charter turn-in meeting.

Your Charter is Complete When:

1. You have completed making all updates to your unit roster using the on-line charter renewal system.
2. Printed two copies of the completed charter paperwork from the on-line system and gathered Unit Leader (Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Coach or Advisor) and the Institutional Head signatures.
3. Don't forget to bring copies of any new adult or youth applications that you have added to your roster. Adult applications should also have a copy of their Youth Protection Training certificate attached.
4. Turned in your charter with a check for the registration and Boys' Life fees.
