Inland Northwest CouncilMembershipCub Scout Pack Party Plan

Pack Parties Help Make Strong Cub Scout Packs!

The fall recruiting plan for Cub Scouting is going to focus on offering every kid in the communities and neighborhoods we serve the opportunity to attend a Cub Scout Party.

Essentials for  throwing a party:

Invitations:  The Inland Northwest Council will provide your unit with party invitations customized with your Cub Scout Party information on the inside.  This high quality, full color invitation will be something your Cub Scouts and families can be proud of when inviting their friends and neighbors to come to the party.

Pack Party Kit:   As part of the Fall recruiting package, Packs will receive a Cub Scout Party Kit. The Cub Scout Party Kit will include blue and gold balloons, craft sticks, set of colors for each new Scout, a Cub Scout Bandz, a parent information packet for each new family, and a coupon for a discounted Cub Scout party cake from Rosauers or Super One Foods.

Planning Your Cub Scout Party - Hold your Party in September:

The best time to conduct your Cub Scout Party is during the first 3 weeks of school opening.  This is when families are making decisions on what activities to get their son involved in for the school year.

Cub Scout Parties should not be held on your September pack meeting.  Instead we recommend that you conduct your Cub Scout party at least one week prior to your September pack meeting.  This way the new boys will be able to come and see the excitement of your pack meeting within the first couple weeks of joining.  This also gives them a Cub Scout activity while you are finalizing dens and getting new den leaders trained.

By conducting your Pack Party in September, you also allow your new Cub Scouts the opportunity to participate in the annual popcorn sale.  By selling popcorn they can help earn their way in your pack for awards, camping programs, derby cars and much more.

Pack Party Support Materials

To assist packs in conducting a Cub Scout Pack Party the Inland Northwest Council will provide some basics for creating a party atmosphere when sharing Cub Scouting with new youth and parents.  Packs will receive a Cub Scout Party kit that will provide them with the following resources:
