| Planning Your Cub Scout Party - Hold your Party in September: The best time to conduct your Cub Scout Party is during the first 3 weeks of school opening. This is when families are making decisions on what activities to get their son involved in for the school year. Cub Scout Parties should not be held on your September pack meeting. Instead we recommend that you conduct your Cub Scout party at least one week prior to your September pack meeting. This way the new boys will be able to come and see the excitement of your pack meeting within the first couple weeks of joining. This also gives them a Cub Scout activity while you are finalizing dens and getting new den leaders trained. By conducting your Pack Party in September, you also allow your new Cub Scouts the opportunity to participate in the annual popcorn sale. By selling popcorn they can help earn their way in your pack for awards, camping programs, derby cars and much more.
